Ruling party seeks reconciliation in Iganga

A meeting convened by NRM’s top leadership to reconcile members who participated in the September party primaries in Iganga district turned chaotic when some of the losers made accusations of vote-rigging. The meeting held at Iganga district headquarters was presided over by Robert Mwesigwa Rukaari,a member of the NRM central executive committee. It was meant to reconcile and harmonise relations between members to support candidates. The meeting started with members raising the anomalies that marred the elections but chaos erupted when Ezera Gabula, the flag bearer for LCV chairman accused the incumbent district chairman Patrick Kayemba of lacking support. His remarks provoked Kayemba’s campaign manager Ronald Bakaki to fire back.#NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
