Trouble started on Tuesday night when the body of Stephen Amanzuru was found at the settlement and locals suspected that he was killed by the Dinka refugees. Teams from the UNHCR, office of prime minister, police and army spent the larger part of Thursday in a crisis meeting on the situation. Taban Data Peter, the Adjumani Resident District Commissioner said the refugees had descended on Ege village, in Dzaipi sub-county killing one person and destroying several houses in the process. The locals then blocked the Adjumani-Akiak road for several hours before security forces were deployed.
