The trial of Bernhard “Bery” Glaser, the German national facing 27 counts of aggravated child trafficking and defilement, is scheduled to commence in January at the High Court Criminal Division in Kampala after the presiding, former Masaka High Court resident Judge Winfred Nabisinde recused herself from the case, after a dispute with the accused’s defence. However, there is a curious case of Douglas Kyaligamba, a social worker, who is facing charges, related to offences by the same accusers.
Details of the two cases bear parallels reveal a murky plot as Frederic Musisi reports.
