NSSF declares 10.75% interest to members

The National Social Security Fund has declared a 10.75 per cent interest rate on savings of the members for the financial year ended 2019/20. This is a drop of about 0.25 per cent less of the 11 per cent interest rate that accrued to savers for the period 2018/19. Finance Minister Matia Kasaija applauded the fund for awarding such an interest amidst the hurdles presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Declarations about the state of the fund were made at the 8th annual members meeting this morning also reflecting the fund’s asset portfolio to have grown to 13 trillion shillings from a lower 11.3 trillion for the previous year reported. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
