Ambassadors of the European Union in Uganda say there is a need to start talking about the right to ownership of property by women in the Eastern region. They have also called for increased access to education and health for children in this region. The Uganda Human Rights commission says people in the region have a strong attachment to cultural norms which are the reason for rights violations like Female Genital Mutilation.
