Delayed roadworks anger Moyo residents
Residents of Moyo district have petitioned the statehouse anti-corruption unit spearheaded by Lt Col Edith Nakalema demanding her intervention into the gross mismanagement of the construction of roads in Metu sub-county.
The project which is worth 4.1 billions shillings is funded under the Development Initiatives for Northern Uganda (DINU).
However, residents claim that ever since the contract for construction of these roads was signed on 3rd July 2020 and handed over to the contractor Uganda Martyr’s construction Co. Ltd, works have never commenced leaving scores of residents perturbed.
