Women urged to do cervical cancer screening

Breast and cervical cancers are some of the commonest cancers in women in Uganda. Today, the Rotary club supported by Mengo hospital held a free screening for cervical and breast cancer as well as HIV for women, ahead of the cancer run on Sunday. According to Dr Ruth Kavuma, gynecologist at Mengo hospital, says the cause of such cancers is unclear, but some of the risk factors that could lead to this include having multiple sexual partners
