The cost of electricity is quite high in Uganda and this makes life hard for small manufacturers and artisans who need electricity to earn a living. To get around the issue of costly power bills, Brian Njuuba, a plumber and welder who lives in the Kampala suburb of Masanafu, has made a water-welding gadget, which cuts his power costs by half. It took him nearly 2 years to come up with the innovation that now takes him about ten minutes to assemble.
