Uganda Cranes starts training ahead of Cape Verde tie

The Uganda Cranes resumed training this morning at Star Times Stadium in Lugogo ahead of next weekend’s crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Cranes will be looking to do the double over Cape Verde after they edged them 1-0 in Praia last year. Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre oversaw today’s training session. Foreign based players Murushid Juuko, Hassan Wasswa, Nicholas Wadada, Emmanuel Okwi and Joseph Ochaya are already in the country.

The Cranes need just one point from two match days to reach their second Africa Cup of Nations finals on the bounce.

Desabre and assistant Cranes captain Hassan Wasswa, however, say they will go for maximum points when they come up against Cape Verde’s Blue Sharks next Saturday.
