Tour operators ask Minister Kiwanda to apologise over remarks on women

The Association of Uganda Tour Operators wants the Minister of State for Tourism, Godfrey Kiwanda to make an official public apology to the tourism sector and the nation at large for what they call misrepresenting destination Uganda.

Last week the Minister launched a miss curvy campaign as away of diversifying the sector and also encourage Ugandan women appreciate their bodies.

Addressing the press in Nakawa today, the chairperson of the association Everest Kayondo said the statements made by the minister undermine the dignity of women and must be condemned.
