TMEA targets 300,000 for its women in trade program

As the East Africa community moves to enhance integration, women engaged in cross border trader have been identified as important stakeholders and immediate beneficiaries.
This has prompted Trademark East Africa the agency shouldering the responsibility of facilitating trade to carry out special sensitization targeting to empower these women.
In the same light, it has approached government institutions like the police and revenue authorities to be supportive of its strategy to see that these women overcome the many gender-related challenges they encounter while trading across the borders of the six member states.
