President Museveni has asked Ugandans to engage in job creating activities, instead of waiting for government to create these jobs.
In a press conference held at Soroti State lodge last evening, President Museveni observed that government only has 4,000 jobs within the public service sector, which can’t cater for the entire job market.
Museveni notes that if people can engage in active economic activities like commercial agriculture, they can create jobs and also lift themselves out of poverty.
The president further warned against practices of land fragmentation which he says have fueled land conflicts within the country.
