Shortly after the requiem mass at Rubaga cathedral, the body of the slain Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kaweesi has been airlifted to his ancestral home in Lwengo district ahead of tomorrow’s burial.
A fleet led by police vehicles delivered the slain police officer at Kololo Airstrip from where it was put on police choppers.
Another police chopper carried Kaweesi’s family. Several mourners witnessed the airlifting and they called on police authorities to increase security for VIPs.
By 18 hours, the body had arrived in Lwengo district, where Kaweesi will be buried tomorrow.
