The national baseball and softball teams have been flagged off to represent the country at the first East African Challenge due this weekend in Mwanza, Tanzania.
The Assistant general secretary of National council of sports David Katende flagged off the 35 man team comprising of 18 men baseballers and 17 women for the softball team.
Coaches George Mukhobe and Allan Otim will handle both teams respectively.
The event that starts tomorrow and end on Sunday has participants from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
Ladies Coach Allan Otim is optimistic the team will perform better after the team’s international exposure attained in the Canada World Women Championships last year.
