Nodding Syndrome drug gives victims hope

The nodding syndrome illness in northern Uganda still rages on. Different government entities are rebooting a response to the problem and the once-closed nodding syndrome center is now functional.

This is the fourth month it has been operation and 25 children are receiving treatment there.

The National Medical Stores and Doctors Choice- a drug manufacturing company based in Uganda- have launched a supplement drug to boost the children’s immunity.

There is no known cause yet of the nodding syndrome but specialists believe the new supplement with Selenium and Moringa could register positive results in the coming three months. The event took place in Odek sub-county, Omoro district
