The parliamentary Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises has directed the withdrawal of the bodyguard and vehicle attached to Justine Bagyenda, the former Executive Director of Commercial Bank Supervision in Bank of Uganda.
According to the committee, Bagyenda retired from the Central Bank and her continued use of government facilities was an abuse of taxpayers’ funds.
The committee’s deputy chairperson Anita Among issued the directive as the MPs concluded their interaction with Bank of Uganda officials in the ongoing investigation into the closure of seven commercial banks.
