Members of Parliament have blamed officials from the Uganda Wildlife Authority for the deaths of 11 lions in the Queen Elizabeth National Park recently.
The lawmakers say UWA could have done more to protect the lions which are crucial to the local tourism industry.
The officials, who were appearing before the Parliamentary committee on Trade and Investment were also tasked to explain their budget statement for the financial year 2018/2019, which had lots of unfunded priorities.
