Deep-rooted divisions in the motorsport came to the fore on Sunday as a number of riders stayed away from the National Motor cross season opener at Garuga circuit.
Maxim Van Pee, Fortune Ssentamu and a few others boycotted the event.
Uganda is set to host the African Motor cross Championships in April and August this year.
Observers say divisions may hurt preparations and affect future chances of hosting.
However, on Monday, the two warring parties are set to have a meeting to iron out their differences.
