Makerere university cars to be auctioned to raise money to pay legal fees owed

Makerere University could lose four of its vehicles attached to the offices of  the Vice Chancellor, his deputy, the University Secretary and Bursar through  public auction. This after the High court’s Execution division issued an attachment order for bailiffs to impound the cars and sell them in order to raise 56 million shillings being legal fees owed to Steven Ssenkeezi Ssali, a lawyer. Court documents indicate  that in 2014, Makerere University agreed to pay Ssenkeezi the money as fees for representing Hajjati Fatuma Nakatude  and a one Dr. Uzobia  Baine who were University employees who challenged the procedure through which individuals occupying the top administrative posts within the University are appointed. Makerere University agreed to settle the matter out of court . Today, Sarah Komuhangi, a bailiff of Pay and go one car belonging to David  Kahondha Muhwezi the Makerere University Secretary.
