The high cost of electricity, coupled with load-shedding are having a toll on many businesses and households in Uganda.
In trying to find solutions to this, a young man Julius Twine who lives in Kampala, has invented an energy saving bulb which he says, can remain lit for three days straight.
Even with the lack of the capital for a break-through, Twine has designed a phone charger using simple technology.
