The minister of state for Health Robina Nabanjja has asked for a forensic audit of Soroti general referral hospital after she found it in a poor state despite receiving 1.4 billion development enhancement fund last year. The minister, who holds the General Duties docket, noted that unlike other regional hospitals across the country that receive a similar amount of funding. Soroti Hospital was built in 1944 but is yet to receive a major facelift.
