Gov’t asked to send money for Wuhan students

Parents of the students stranded in China have urged government to honour its promise of remitting the funds meant for the children’s upkeep. Two weeks ago, the health minister Jane Ruth Aceng told parliament that government would not evacuate the Ugandan students in Wuhan, where the coronavirus is said to have spread from, but promised to send a sum of 220 million shillings for the students upkeep. Since then, the students claim that they have never received the funds. The parents addressed the press earlier on today. #NTVNews
