A section of lawmakers led by the former minister for integrity but now the MP for Bufumbira County East Nsaba Buturo has called on fellow MPs to reject the National Biotechnology and Biosafety Bill 2012.
According to Nsaba Buturo, the bill in its state is designed to support the Genetically Modified Organisms, which the lawmakers argue that it is not good for the country.
Buturo also added that this bill’s intention is to promote Genetically modified organisms in the country.
