East African community to investigate human trafficking on Uganda-Kenya border

The East African community has instituted an investigation into the suspected human trafficking of girls to Kenya from Uganda.

Uganda’s state minister for East African affairs Julius Maganda told lawmakers of the East African legislative assembly in Nairobi Kenya that the girls were intercepted by Kenyan Authorities enroute through Busia one-stop border post allegedly destined to Kenya and the Middle East in search for jobs.
