260 Congolese refugees comprising of Lendu’s and Alur’s who had spent two-month camping in Zeu forest on the Gulajo border with DRC were on Wednesday let into the country.
This followed a closure of borders by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The refugees who included women, children and the elderly were screened and later quarantined at Zeu district farm institute.
The minister of relief and disaster preparedness Hilary Onek appealed to the donor community to support the new batch of refugees
