COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: Freed prisoners to stay in prison for 14 days

Prisoners who have completed their sentences will remain incarcerated for the next 14 days.

The move according to prisons authorities is intended to safeguard them from getting infected with COVID- 19 in case they get into contact with an infected person.

The prisons Spokesperson Frank Baine says the decision is in line with presidential directive of restricting movements of people in a fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
