A day after President Yoweri Museveni, issued a stern warning to the trading community countrywide against un necessary hoarding and hiking of commodity prices; the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, is asking its members to desist from the habit.
The Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, says that the above 30% rise in commodity prices, prompted by distressed demand owing to the COVID-19 pandemic must be discouraged.
John Walugembe, the Executive Director of Federation, says that with a partial lock-down and without controls govt needs to enforce the discipline within the consumer space.
