Kenyan police in Busia are holding three trucks and their operators, after they were used for the transportation of sugar canes. The trucks were being used to ferry product from Uganda to one of the factories in Busia Kenya. Jacob Narengo, the Busia Kenya county commissioner, insists that the occupants of the trucks face charges of smuggling and illegal entry into Kenya.
