150 Congolese pilgrims set off for Namugongo to pray for peace in their country

Meanwhile, over 150 Congolese pilgrims have left Kasese district to begin their trek to Namugongo shrine for Martyrs’ day celebrations slated for 3rd June.

Speaking to NTV at Kasese Catholic Cathedral, one of their leaders Eliasi Masumbuko said they had travelled over 130 KM from Butembo in the DRC in search of God’s mercy to restore peace in their country and seek a cure for the Ebola scourge.
